SIRIUS AERO IS CROSSING OVER TO ELECTRONIC FLIGHT BAG
Sirius Aero has started test operation of Electronic Flight Bag (EFB). The aviation company has obtained a permission for EFB usage on Legacy 600, Hawker 750 and Hawker 850XP aircraft from the Federal Air Transport Agency.
By the end of the first quarter of 2018, crews of Sirius Aero are going to use two documentation sets: in hard copy and electronic form. Then the crews will switch to electronic format.
EFB implementation will give pilots of Sirius Aero an opportunity to shorten preflight preparation time, improve the quality of such preparation and ensure more effective and prompt work with operation, technical and navigation documentation during the flight. Besides, EFB will allow clearing additional space in the cockpit due to absence of piles of printed documents, the total weight of which can exceed 20 kg.
